Questions

Pool service questions from Kingston-area owners

Straight answers about timing, prices and what each visit includes.

When should I open my pool in Ontario?

Most Kingston and Napanee pools open between mid April and late May. Open before the water warms past about 15°C, because algae grows fast above that and a green pool costs more to clear. Booking in March gets you the date you want.

When should I close my pool in Ontario?

Close once the water stays below about 18°C, usually mid September to late October around Kingston. Closing too early in warm weather invites algae under the cover. Closing after a hard frost risks frozen, cracked lines, so book before November.

How much does a pool opening cost in Kingston?

A standard Limitless Pools opening costs $329 plus HST, with set add-on prices for safety covers, heaters and salt systems. Regional companies that publish prices charged between $249 and $420 in 2026, so check what each one includes before comparing.

Do you replace above ground pool liners?

Yes. We replace both above ground and inground vinyl liners. We measure the pool, check for leaks and wall damage first, and give a fixed quote before ordering the liner. Liner work is best booked in spring or early fall.

Which areas do you serve?

Kingston and Greater Napanee are our core areas, including Amherstview, Odessa and Bath. We also serve Belleville, Deseronto, Picton, Trenton and Gananoque. If your town is not listed, send a booking request and we will confirm whether we can reach you.

Can you maintain my pool every week?

Yes. Weekly maintenance covers skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying baskets, a water test and chemical balancing. You get a short visit note each time, so you know the readings without checking yourself.
